Quite Imposing Plus Mac Serial Port
Read serial data without high CPU use. Ask Question Asked 8 years, 3 months ago. Most of the examples of libevent and even the underlying epoll use TCP sockets which doesn't seem to behave quite the same as serial port data. Plus I love learning about 'lower' level of API's. My first attempt used a blocking read while my libevent. A Drag and Drop upload applet. Works over HTTP, HTTPS and FTP. The Lite edition is available as a free download. Advanced features include gzip compression, recursive directory upload and imposing upload limits at the client side. The plus edition.
Okay, so a friend of mine is claiming that you can output video from a serial port.. I told him it's impossible since a serial port doesn't have anything even resembling a RAMDAC and there's obviously no frame buffer or rasterizing hardware.
Not wanting to just call him a liar, I decided to be fair and ask here, since there's always a slim chance that something as bizarre as this has been attempted with some platform at some point in time. Has anybody ever even heard of something like this?
Imageburn is a good free choice. Be12lu38 drivers for mac. It should be less of a problem if you plug into one of the USB3 ports on the iMac, because more power is available. It might not be supported, but that doesn’t mean it won’t work.
I still think that whoever told him that was smoking waaaay to much crack. View image: /infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif
